These are just some of the quotes that have inspired our speakers for the 2015 Forum #leadershipinaction. In the lead up to the main event we will be focussing on “leader snapshots”  from the speakers who are leading in all types of different ways across a variety of organisations and sectors.

EEN Midlands at Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce is bringing UK businesses on a Market Visit to Ireland from 22nd-24th June 2015.  A B2B Matchmaking Event with EEN Cork is scheduled to take place in Cork on 24th June. Cork Chamber is currently participating in a European Project funded through the ‘Regions of Knowledge’ Seventh Framework Programme called the Resource Efficiency Maritime Capacity Project (REMCAP). REMCAP is a collaborative project involving 14 partner organisations from six European maritime clusters. The main objective of REMCAP is to develop the clusters' ability to promote innovation and enable sustainable growth across the key markets of offshore wind; ocean energy; algae; fishing; aquaculture; blue biotech; aggregates and dredging and sea bed mining.

On Thursday, 28th May participants from the REMCAP project will participate in a workshop at the 2015 Maritime Days Conference in Piraeus, Greece entitled, 'Expanding Blue Growth around Ports and Facilities'.

The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) organises brokerage events and these matchmaking or “speed-dating” events for businesses help SMEs to efficiently and effectively make new business contacts. Brokerage events are organised by many of the Network’s 600 partner organisations which span across the EU and beyond. The Network supports participating SMEs throughout the brokerage process, from drawing up a profile to on-site support on the day of the event. Brokerage events are generally sector-specific but sometimes, they involve multiple sectors. While the majority of the EEN’s brokerage events are offered free of charge, there is a small cost to some.

The RSA are now offering a road safety education service which operates nationwide. An RSA Road Safety promotion officer is available to deliver presentations on road safety awareness. These cover aspects of road safety including pedestrian safety, cycle safety, driving for work and driver distraction. Health and Safety is an important issue for all businesses and road safety forms an integral part of that also.

This service is free of charge.
