Five cities in Ireland have been chosen to host the Startup Gathering 2015 with the Cork Region’s Gathering expected to draw significant numbers on 7th October 2015. From October 5th – 10th next a ‘City Region Open Day’ will host a day-long series of events in each of the 5 city regions facilitating a week-long series of focused events and initiatives around the country which will be promoted to national and international audiences.

The weeklong Startup Gathering is a national expo promoting entrepreneurship and showcasing Ireland’s startup sector to a domestic and international audience, with the theme “Start, Scale, Succeed in Ireland”. Over 50 events will be held nationally supported by the Startup Ireland Partnership and with the sponsorship of Bank of Ireland.

 All are welcome to attend the Information Evening for the 6^th IGNITE Graduate Business Innovation Programme in UCC’s Western Gateway Building at 6.00pm on Thursday, 30th April 2015.Hear past and present participants share their stories, answer questions and explain how IGNITE helped them to launch their businesses. 

Bid Management Services and Intertrade Ireland are delivering a two day Go-2-Tender Workshop in Cork 29^th April & 6^th May 2015. With every 2 day workshop each participant receives a half days mentoring with a bid specialist. The course would be very beneficial, especially to those who have little or no tendering experience.

The Go-2-Tender programme is geared towards SMEs who are new to tendering or who want to improve their basic tendering skills. The course consists of a two day workshop and a half day of mentoring.  This mentoring may be extended by up to three additional days and all mentoring is delivered by an experienced consultant to assist with tender development.
