Cork Chamber held its 195th Annual General Meeting yesterday evening, Monday May 12th, in the Imperial Hotel. The event marked the re-election of Chamber President, Ms. Gillian Keating, for the second of her two year term as well as the announcement of Barrie O’Connell, KPMG as the Chamber Vice President. The AGM also saw the election of four new board members - Mr. Ken Murphy, Careerwise, Mr. Bill O’Connell, EMC, Mr. Albert Diggin, Bank of Ireland and Mr. Paul O’Connell, Quintas. Read More HERE.

Cork Chamber’s report on Cork’s Agri-food & Drinks Opportunities
The Minister for Agriculture, Food & the Marine, Simon Coveney T.D launched Cork Chamber’s report on Cork’s Agrifood & Drinks Opportunities in the Triskel Christchurch on May 12th. The launch was attended by over 200 stakeholders from the Agrifood and Drinks industry, relevant organisations and the wider business community. The report identifies the regions strengths in this sector and highlights five opportunity areas – R & D; Talent; SME & Artisan Supports; Co-ordinated Marketing/Profiling; and Facilitative Environmental Supports – where strategic investments, enhanced partnerships and targeted progressive developments will ensure Cork is as well positioned as possible to capitalise on the unique opportunities across the agri-economy at present.

Mad Pride Family Fun Day

The fully free day will be the first major event to be held in the redesigned Park, set to be officially launched on Friday May 16th.
