Eli Lilly announces pioneering new plans for Kinsale Campus
|
Cork Chamber was delighted to welcome Eli Lilly’s announcement of a planned €35million capital investment in the delivery of a new high-tech manufacturing facility at its Kinsale campus. It is clear that this continued investment by Eli Lilly is testament to the highly skilled team and track record of the existing operations in Ireland and specifically in Kinsale. The commitment to the Cork region which commenced operations over 35 years ago is reinforced by the recent biotech investment of over €650 million and the recruitment of over 350 additional employees to the Kinsale site over the last eight years.
Tuesday’s announcement of a €35million investment in the establishment of a pioneering manufacturing facility will see Eli Lilly’s base in Kinsale becoming Eli Lilly’s worldwide centre of excellence for continuous manufacturing and this is truly reflective of the confidence placed by Eli Lilly in their local Cork operations both in Dunderrow and Global Business Solutions based in Little Island.
