Celebrating Cork’s Digital Transformers Digital Champions were celebrated at this year’s Cork Digital Marketing Awards held on 11 October at the Cork International Hotel. In a room full of inspiring digital transformers, the Awards presented by MC Sinead Kennedy recognised the innovative and creative approaches that businesses are bringing to all digital platforms. All facets of digital marketing were recognised, with awards including Best in Content Creation, Best Social Media Team and awards for individual channels from Website to Instagram. Paula Cogan, Cork Chamber President who presented the awards to all the deserving winners said: “Digital marketing is an integral part of how companies communicate with their customers, suppliers and stakeholders across all industries. We are delighted to honour the skills and talent of such leaders in digital marketing. Tonight the award winners range from hoteliers to state agencies, start-ups to multinationals, traditional goods and services to fully online agencies. It is clear from these Awards that digital transformation is changing how we do business, locally, regionally and nationally.” This year saw Visit Cork declared as Cork’s overall Digital Transformer 2019. Commenting on the announcement of the award Head of Visit Cork, Seamus Heaney said “I am so proud to accept this award on behalf of the Board of Visit Cork and the executive team based in Elizabeth Fort, Anne, Evelyn and Jeremy along with our extended teams of both tourism teams at Cork City and County Councils.

Purecork.ie is the hub for tourism product and events in Cork and the website is very much a collective approach by both the City and County councils in relation to all tourism products in Cork. Many tourism websites have come and gone but PureCork is here to stay and getting more and more visitors by the day.”
