Sustained Defence of our Reputation Key
Cork Chamber has called for a continued robust response by Government to the EU findings regarding Apple's state aid case to safeguard Ireland's tax reputation.

Chamber President Barrie O' Connell stated "we support the strength of the reaction by Minister for Finance Michael Noonan in fundamentally disagreeing with the findings and now call on Government to approve an appeal process to the European Courts at its cabinet meeting tomorrow morning."

He added "Ireland's tax reputation is a key pillar of our overall investment strategy which must be defended to provide certainty to business when making investment decisions"

Mr O’Connell concluded "we welcome the continued commitment today by Apple to invest and expand their operations in Cork and Ireland."
