We were delighted to represent our region at the recent World Chambers Congress, where Cork Chambers' work on securing Tier 1 connectivity for Southern Ireland was selected as a finalist in the Best Advocacy Project Category. This was a great opportunity to profile the Cork Region and the Chamber on an international stage and great recognition of the role of Cork Chamber in supporting local economic development. |

Enterprise Europe Network Brings Businesses Together Worldwide

Local Economic and Community Plan Information Session

Cork County Council is currently developing the Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP). The purpose of the LECP, as provided for in the Local Government Reform Act 2014, is to set out, for a six-year period, the objectives and actions needed to promote and support the economic development and the local and community development of the County in partnership with economic and community development stakeholders in the region. Public Consultation workshops and a call for written submission of which the Chamber will contribute to are currently taking place. To inform this submission Cork Chamber is organising an information session for interested Chamber members which will be delivered by Pio Condon, Senior Executive Planner, Cork County Council with Andrew Hind, Senior Planner, Cork County Council also in attendance. This information session will take place at 10am on the 3rd of July at the Cork Chamber Office, Summerhill North and is expected to last approximately 1.5hrs. New Chapter of Enterprise Europe Network launched in Brussels
Since 2008 Cork Chamber has been proud to host one of the 600 Enterprise Europe Network offices that exist across more than 60 countries, and which provide business support to SMEs. On the 8th & 9th of June in Brussels, the Enterprise Europe Network Annual Conference brought together 800 Network partners, representatives from the European Commission and guest speakers. The event marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Network (2015 - 2020). The Network helps ambitious SMEs innovate and grow internationally, combining international business expertise with local knowledge to help them enter new markets, forge new commercial partnerships, access finance and grow faster.
