91 jobs have been announced in the maritime sector in Cork

Cork Chamber strongly welcomes the announcement this week by Minister Coveney of 91 new jobs for Cork Maritime Sector. Resolute Marine Energy, a Boston-based wave technology developer, is to establish its European headquarters in Cork, creating 80 jobs. Resolve Marine is to increase its workforce in Cork by six people over the next year and Exceedence, a spin-out from University College Cork's Beaufort Research Centre, said it will create five jobs in the area of financial consultancy for the marine renewable energy sector next year.

The announcements were made at a one-day conference on the opportunities and challenges ahead for Cork Harbour, which was held at the National Maritime College in Ringaskiddy.
