Cleantech Mission to Singapore & Vietnam

The “EU Business Avenues” Programme is now inviting applications for a Cleantech Mission to Singapore and Vietnam this coming June.  The business mission is aimed at facilitating the entry of EU ‘cleantech’ companies into the Southeast Asian market. The mission offers companies the chance to meet stakeholders and get the benefit of high quality information and coaching services. It is scheduled to take place in Singapore and Vietnam from the 15th-19th June 2015.

The EU Business Avenues programme, which is an EU-joint initiative promoted by Eurochambres, aims to strengthen the presence of European companies in South East Asia by organising one week business missions to Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam. The programme provides strategic, logistic and financial support to European SMEs who want to gain firsthand experience of local markets.

Services include market information, tailored business matchmaking and customised support services both before and during business missions. In order to be eligible to participate in EU Business Avenues programmes, a company must meet the following requirements:

  • Must exist as a company for five years and be able to demonstrate three years of financial figures
  • Be entirely or majority EU owned
  • Have a headquarters in the EU
  • Be active or operational in at least one of the economic sectors covered by the EU Business Avenues Programme
  • Have a proven track record of international business co-operation
  • Have a solid business strategy for entering ASEAN markets

Companies must also operate in one of the following sectors:

  • Environment and Water
  • Renewable Energy
  • Energy Efficiency

The Southeast Asian market presents a number of exiting opportunities for companies looking for new markets. This particular trade mission could be of significant interest to companies that operate in the clean technologies sector.

The deadline for registration is the 23rd January 2015.
