'Outstanding Achievement in Business' awarded to Hugh Mackeown, Musgrave Group

Former Managing Director, Chief Executive and Chairman of the Musgrave Group, Hugh Mackeown, was presented with an Outstanding Achievement in Business Award at Cork Chamber’s Dublin Dinner, held in partnership with EY at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel last night.
Mr Mackeown was given a standing ovation by the 550 attendees after his inspiring speech, a full copy of which can be found here.

The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) at Cork Chamber, in conjunction with the Irish Green Building Council (IGBC) and Energy Cork, are delighted to invite you to a one-day course on Certification Tools for Green Buildings, also known as green construction or sustainable building.
Background to this training:
The European Commission is placing increased importance on the environmental performance of buildings, with the scope of improving building sustainability and enhancing business opportunities within the sustainable buildings industry. A resource-efficient Europe is one of the EU’s key priorities under Europe 2020. For this reason, the EEN has partnered with the IGBC and Energy Cork to deliver this training programme.
Course aim: The course aims to give attendees information on Certification Tools for Green Buildings and understand what it involves.

Be Part of the ‘I WISH’ Story 2016
I WISH is a city and regional initiative to inspire, encourage and motivate secondary school female students to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). I WISH (Inspiring Women in STEM) 2016 will take place 11th-12th February and will feature a conference and interactive exhibitions.
The conference will also feature workshops, daily keynotes and engaging talks by women who are at the top of their field in STEM. I WISH 2016 will double its capacity to 2,000 students over a 2-day period in Cork City Hall. The I WISH Ambassadors include Gillian Keating, Partner RDJ; Caroline O’Driscoll, Partner KPMG; and Ruth Buckley, Directory of ICT & Business Services Cork City Council.
