A significant number of Lithuanian citizens (over 36000, Census 2016) are now living and working in Ireland - this supports the development of strong ties both personal and professional between Ireland and Lithuania.

The Lithuanian Embassy in Dublin are keen to enhance the trade, investment and cultural relationship between Ireland and Lithuania. As part of this, Cork Chamber Enterprise Europe Network has been in touch with Lithuanian network partners across locations in Kaunas, Klaipeda and Vilnius.

CarVertical is an example of a successful Lithuanian SME which has expanded throughout Europe with the help of the Enterprise Europe Network. The blockchain-based technology firm aims to compile relevant automotive data in order to give an accurate picture of  a vehicle’s history. The company turned to the Enterprise Europe Network for help and support to access relevant information in other European countries to broaden the blockchain database and launch its product in 16 countries.
