Chamber Pre-Budget Submission 2015
 

Cork Chamber has published its Pre-Budget submission which sets out to Government the priorities of Cork’s business community in advance of Budget 2015. The submission covers a number of areas with a primary focus on innovative solutions which the Chamber believes will aid continued economic growth and job creation whilst fostering a positive environment for start-up enterprises and increasing consumer confidence. The Pre-Budget Submission focuses on four key areas: taxation; economic development including supports for SME’s and entrepreneurs; consumer confidence; and priority infrastructure projects to ensure a strong economic region that has the capacity to attract and capitalise on growth and employment opportunities.

Food Matters Live & Overseas Partnering Opportunities
 

Taking place from 18th - 20th November 2014 at London’s ExCeL centre Food Matters Live is a new annual event exploring one of the most important challenges of our time: the relationship between food, health and nutrition.

 

Enterprise Europe Network at Cork Chamber is looking for expressions of interest from companies/researchers who would be interested in joining a trade delegation to this event, and specifically to avail of the 1:1 meetings being hosted by our partner EEN in South-East UK, which takes place on 19th November.  Companies from across Europe will be attending the brokerage event, including delegations already registered from France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, and of course, the UK.

Focus Ireland's Shine a Light Night – Give one night to change a lifetime
 

Focus Ireland’s Shine a Light Night is an executive night with a difference! You could call it a networking event for Ireland’s business leaders but instead of dinner and speeches, its sleeping bags and conviviality in Cork’s historic City Gaol or Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens. It’s a night to raise funds and awareness of homelessness. Since 2012 over 120 business leaders have slept out and raised over €675,000 to support our work.

Cork Heritage Open Day a Great Success for Cork Chamber
 
On a sunny Saturday, over 200 people visited Fitzgerald House, home to Cork Chamber for Cork Heritage Open Day. This is the first year Cork Chamber joined over 40 other buildings and Heritage sites in Cork on the Heritage Trail, which took place on the 23rd August. Visitors got to explore Fitzgerald House, orginally built circa 1820 and saw the many original Georgian features that are still visible today.
