Representing You

Dear Chamber Member,

I hope you, your families, friends and colleagues are all well.

With phase 4 of reopening society and business has been delayed, this is a reminder to us all about the important role we play in containing the spread of Covid-19. As the threat to our communities remains a real concern, we must proceed with caution, and where reopening for business all should follow the Government Return to Work Safely Protocol. <Linked Here>

We look forward to reviewing the Economic Stimulus Package due to be announced by Government this week, hopefully it will clarify the scope of business supports going forward. We will continue to represent our membership community and lobby on your behalf for a sustainable recovery for our city region.

While the context of Covid-19 is undoubtedly a priority, we at the Chamber continue to progress other critical projects in parallel. Over the past 2 weeks we have been actively engaged and vocal on a variety of issues including the Cork Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy, the MacCurtain Street Improvement Scheme, and we also published our Q2 Economic Trends - representing member experiences in Q2 and forecasts for Q3. <Economic Trends Linked Here>

Our events and training team continue to evolve their offering to meet the changing needs of our business community, while our Export Documentation Team has maintained its essential service right through the restrictions.

The challenges facing our business community are immense and we are here to support you on your journey. I welcome your feedback and input so that, together, we can build economic resilience for Cork, email me <HERE> or 087 9471858 or make contact with any of the team at Cork Chamber.

Take Care,

Conor
