Member Invitation: Join our Policy Submission Group on Cork City Development Plan
The public consultation on the draft City Development Plan (2015 – 2021) is currently underway and the Chamber is preparing a submission as part of this process. The draft Plan aims to provide a blue print for the proper planning and sustainable development of Cork City over a six year period to 2021 and is a very important document in establishing a sustainable platform for the recovery and the future growth of Cork City. Cork Chamber Welcomes Announcement of 350 Jobs at Voxpro
Cork Chamber Chief Executive Conor Healy strongly welcomed the announcement by Voxpro of 350 new jobs at their Mahon, Cork facility. Mr. Healy stated that, “this announcement is a significant and welcome boost for the Cork region and clearly demonstrates the region’s commitment to providing the environment within which companies can grow and succeed. This announcement is further evidence of increased positivity in the region as witnessed in our Economic Trends Survey Annual Outlook in Q4 2013 which showed that 78% of businesses project increases in net profit over 2014, an increase of 24% on the same time period in 2012.”
