Deserted prison to host Startup Island bootcamp

Startups will be pushed outside of their comfort zones with a physical, army-style bootcamp putting them through their paces, as well as business masterclasses which will cover a range of important topics. Everything from pitching to raising capital will be on the table.

Entrepreneurs who are brave enough will be detained overnight in the ‘cells’, giving them plenty of time to think about their business models, while networking with fellow ‘inmates’ could open up some unique business opportunities.

A pitch competition will also give startups the opportunity to compete for a prize fund worth €50,000.
