Advocacy Highlights from May
- Met Cork City Council CEO Ann Doherty and her management team for a productive discussion on revitalising Cork City, harnessing its strengths and tackling challenges to deliver a sustainable and lively city.
- Met with Cork County Council CEO Tim Lucey and his Directorate team to discuss opportunities to advance the competitiveness of our region. Challenges such as housing were explored along with sustainable transport plans and high growth potential opportunities.
- After an engaging meeting with Irish Rail CEO Jim Meade and the Cork team, we prepared letters to the highest levels of Government to advance our regional and inter-city connectivity through the deliverance of CMATS and key sustainable transport improvements.
- The Cork Development Forum has been holding a series of meetings with the Secretary Generals from the various Government departments to advance the sustainable development of our city region.
- Attended the Cork Harbour Supply Chain group meeting to explore the opportunities in progressing Cork's off-shore wind energy potential.
- Made a submission on the Department of Transport's Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Strategy 2022-2025.
