Call for business certainty

Dear Chamber member,

Cork’s business community has and continues to play its part in protecting public health and supporting our national recovery. The gains to date have been hard-won by all and there is recognition that adjustments may have to be made to ensure business reopening is sustainable. Financial supports to businesses and employees have provided a lifeline to those employers and staff impacted by public health restrictions. However, as we face further delay on reopening, we look forward to the provision of clear timelines, certainty on business supports and the principles guiding Government decision-making. We at the Chamber are very passionate about our city region and are proud to champion Cork as a great place to live, work and invest. Current opportunities to shape your region include submissions to the Cork County Development Plan and the Little Island Sustainable Transport Intervention. We are working daily with Government and local/national stakeholders representing your voice and lobbying on your behalf. Your experiences and perspectives are crucial to informing and shaping our agenda in that activity. Please share your views.

As summer unfolds, it is also incumbent upon us to support our local economy, in both our business and personal purchase decisions.

Our own Chamber Skillnet team continues to deliver funded training designed to help you upskill your workforce. I invite you to participate in our short 2 minute survey on the topic of sustainability training for businesses the Cork region.

I welcome you to contact me directly on 087-9471858 or by e-mail HERE to discuss any issues affecting your business. We are here to represent you.

Warm regards,

Conor Healy
