Cork Chamber calls for immediate action to protect city against flooding risks
Following the overnight flooding in the Cork Region, Cork Chamber urged all of those charged with the responsibility for protecting Cork from localised flooding, to restore the confidence of the business community by doubling their efforts to urgently address this ongoing issue. Read more here.

Have Your Say: Cork Airport Master Plan
Cork Airport is currently preparing an Airport Master Plan which will guide the development of Cork Airport over the next ten years. The Airport Master Plan aims to: - Guide for the development of facilities – both aviation and non-aviation;
- Guide for land use in and around the airport
- Guide for the development of commercial opportunities; and
- A high level environmental framework.
The Master Plan development process includes a stakeholder consultation and Cork Chamber is preparing a submission as part of this process. We invite members to email their perspectives on the key elements that they believe should be incorporated into a ten year Cork Airport Master Plan to siobhan.bradley@corkchamber.ie by COB on 16th January 2014. Engineers Ireland ‘State of Ireland Report 2014’ Transport in Cork - Public Discussion
Date: 8th January Time: 6.30pm Venue: Laurel Suite, Rochestown Park Hotel, Rochestown Road, Douglas, Cork The Engineers Ireland’s Cork regional branch invites you to attend a debate on future investment priorities for transport infrastructure in the region. After short presentations from leading local experts on air access, the road network and overall priorities for Cork transport infrastructure, the audience is invited to grade the current infrastructure and put forward your priorities for transport infrastructure investment in the Cork for the next five years. This detail will inform the transport chapter in the 2014 commentary and provide the basis for a Cork regional ‘State of Ireland 2014’ report which will be published in February as part of Engineers Week.
