The Cork Chamber Dublin Dinner, which took place yesterday evening, celebrated the collaborative spirit between Cork and Dublin and the importance of this synergy to the success of Ireland Inc. Held in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road in association with EY, the keynote was delivered by An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar TD to more than 600 people from across Ireland’s business, political and diplomatic landscape.
Cork Chamber has recognised Pat McGrath for his outstanding contribution to business. "I am absolutely delighted to accept this award. I never thought when I came to Cork 45 years ago as a young Engineer for a six-week assignment, that I would be the recipient of this prestigious award in my adopted city. Cork has been the ‘launch pad’ for the growth of PM Group from a small indigenous player into an international engineering company with a global reach’’ Pat McGrath said upon receiving the award.

Cork City Council has launched a call for public input to the Cork City Climate Action Plan 2024–2029. Cork is on an accelerated trajectory to reach climate neutrality by 2030. Reaching this target requires actions that residents, businesses, community groups, and public sector institutions will have to take to achieve our vision of a climate neutral and resilient city.
