Survey Prize Winner

Cork Chamber would like to congratulate John Shalloe, RPS Group on winning dinner for two at Market Lane Restaurant, Oliver Plunkett Street for completing our Q2 Economic Trends Survey.

Many thanks to all those who completed this quarter’s economic survey.  Your input is greatly appreciated and highlighted a number of positive trends around confidence levels, turnover, net profits and employment increases. Of the priority areas which businesses believe government should focus on as part of Budget 2015, the most prominent calls centred on: targeted strategies to increase employment through reductions in employer costs and investments in skills and education; strategies to increase consumer spending in order to secure the resultant returns for the domestic economy through income tax and VAT reductions; and renewed investments in domestic infrastructure. The Chamber will continue to communicate the importance of this issue to relevant policy and financial bodies.
