First Calls: Horizon 2020

The new EU framework programmes launched at the end of 2013 are now beginning to roll out with funding calls, events, etc. Due to the scale of these programmes, the EEN office at Cork Chamber will feature information highlights on these activities in Chamberlink publications and Cork Chamber eBulletins over the coming weeks/months. First Calls: ERASMUS+

The new EU framework programme for education and training, youth issues and sport has launched its first set of calls for proposals for 2014-2020. ERASMUS+ is based on key objectives of increasing the quality and relevance of skills and supporting the modernisation of education, training and youth systems and qualifications with a view towards promoting innovation and entrepreneurship and improving individuals’ employability prospects. First Calls: Creative Europe

The EU’s new financial instrument to support artists, cultural professionals and cultural organisations operating in fields such as the performing arts, fine arts, publishing, film, TV, music, video games, interdisciplinary arts and heritage is now underway. Creative Europe launched its first set of calls for proposals in December, with almost €170 million of the programme’s overall 2014-2020 budget of €1.46 billion being made available as funding this year.
