Ahead of Budget 2026, members responding to the Q2 Economic Trends survey cited threats to critical infrastructure and increased digitalisation as the two most important trends that this year's Budget should seek to address. The survey measured business sentiment and economic outlook in Cork’s business community, as well as key Budget priorities for members.
Significant and welcome progress has been made on key transport projects in the Cork region in recent months, from commuter rail to strategic road links, as well as active travel and greenways.
Continued momentum is needed to advance key projects further and enhance the region's overall competitiveness.
The Stelios North-South Business Cooperation Awards for the island of Ireland is a new initiative to support cross-border cooperation & entrepreneurship on the island of Ireland. The awards are open to businesses registered in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland within the past five years and are now trading cross-border.
Awardees will win a share of the €500,000 prize fund. Application Deadline: 16 September 2025.
