‘National Day of Action 2013’ - (ISPCC Shield Campaign – Protect Children from Bullying)
|
Date: March 8th
On Friday March 8th 2013 the ISPCC will hold its ‘National Day of Action’, calling for over 1,000 people to get out into their communities to sell the Shield Pin and help spread the message that bullying is not acceptable. In 2011 Childline received almost 11,000 calls from children in relation to bullying. The statistics show that bullying needs to be tackled. The Shield Pin is a symbol of child protection and money raised from the ‘National Day of Action’ will be used to fund a range of services dealing with bullying and the social isolation, intimidation and neglect that result from this issue. Do you believe that children need to be protected? Join the ISPCC supporters, communities and workplaces and hit the streets on the 8th of March. You can make a real difference in the life of a child. To get involved in the ‘National Day of Action’ please contact the ISPCC on 1850 50 40 50, email shield@ispcc.ie or log on to www.ispcc.ie
