The REEValue.eu platform has been launched - a free, easy-to-use tool helping businesses access funding to reduce energy costs. The tools is aimed at supporting businesses of all sizes, with a particular focus on SMEs with high energy consumption in the food and beverage manufacturing, transport and logistics sectors.
It includes a quick online self-assessment that takes under 15 minutes and provides tailored carbon footprints, energy-saving recommendations and green grants based on each business's specific needs. The tool was developed by Cork Chamber as partner of the EU co-funded LIFE REEValue project.

Cork City Council has launched two new community development grants, open to community groups seeking once-off programme grants or funding for community centre/building maintenance. Applications for the Cork City Council Small Scale Programme Grant 2025 and the Community Associations Capital Grants 2025 are open until 5th March.
IDA Ireland has today launched its new Strategy for 2025 - 2029, setting a course for sustainable investment in the Irish economy. The strategy sets out a clear focus on research and innovation in the years ahead, as well as a commitment to reducing carbon emissions by IDA clients, all of which will enhance Ireland's competitiveness into the future.
Iarnród Éireann has joined forces with Bus Éireann and Cork Airport to introduce a new integrated ticket, which gives passengers the option of travelling to Cork Airport using rail and bus services, improving connectivity for passeners travelling to Cork Airport on Intercity rail services across the country. Passengers will now be able to make bookings on the Iarnród Éireann website, adding a transfer to Cork Airport with Bus Éireann for the additional cost of €1.55.
Offered through the Local Enterprise Office, the grant is available to small enterprises (1-50 employees) in manufacturing or eligible internationally traded services.
The grant offers up to €10,000 (or 50% of eligible costs) to support market research, trade fair attendance, consultancy, and more for expanding into new geographic markets.

It is estimated that the expanded scope of gender pay gap reporting legislation will include over two-thirds of Employees this year. In 2025, Organisations with 50 Employees or more are required to publish a gender pay gap report.
