Cork Connects in San Francisco

Cork Delegation meeting with Tim Cook, CEO Apple in Silicon Valley last week.

‘Connecting Cork’ is a new initiative spearheaded by Cork Chamber that sees the organisation proactively working to put Cork on the agenda internationally and build connections in key global cities and markets, promoting a positive message that “Cork means business”.

As part of this drive to further raise Cork’s profile in the United States, Cork Chamber representatives last week met with key business leaders and organisations in San Francisco. The trip culminated with an address from Barrie O’Connell at the Irish Network USA (INUSA) Conference, the largest US “Global Irish” networking opportunity of 2016. This visit will be followed next week by a London Dinner that will see almost 150 attendees learn more about the unique and exciting opportunities that the Cork region offers investors and their employees and later in the year a twin city trip to Shanghai.
