Public Consultation on Morrison’s Island Public Realm and Flood Defence Project

The plan for Morrison’s Island Public Realm area and the Flood Defence Project were recently published with the public consultation now open for submission. The particulars of these proposals are available for viewing at the The Atrium, Cork City Council until Monday 26th March 2018, between 9:00 – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, or online. Also a full size replica of a section of the quay wall can be viewed in The Atrium area at City Council offices.
The plan includes remedial work to the existing quay walls and the construction of public realm improvement works and flood defence works between Parliament Bridge and Parnell Bridge along Morrison’s Quay and Fr. Mathew Quay, and a short section along Union Quay close to Trinity Footbridge. To view a You Tube video that represents the plan see here
Cork Chamber will be making a submission to this process. We encourage members to make a submission directly to this process and/ or to contact Cork Chamber no later than Friday 30th of March by emailing Michelle / Sarah with observations for consideration as part of the Chamber submission.

The next public information session takes place on Friday 9th March, 3:00 -7:00pm, Millennium Hall, Cork City Council.
