UCC Environmental Society urge your participation in Earth Hour 2018

For 2018, Earth Hour will take place on Saturday the 24th of March from 8:30 – 9.30 pm. Across the globe, people will turn off their lights for one hour to reflect their commitment to protecting our shared environment. World renowned buildings and landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben and the Sydney Opera House will go dark for the hour. This year the Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr. Tony Fitzgerald has committed support and will switch off the lights at City Hall.

Across the globe, a multitude of businesses also get involved. To learn more and to sign up, click here

Cork Chamber will be participating for 2018. Earth Hour is hoping for more businesses to get involved, and is asking for employees to also be encouraged to participate at home as well as promoting to customers, suppliers and contacts via various social media channels, websites, newsletter and blogs.
