This is an exhibition for anyone who loves Cork, so everybody!
2020 Art Gallery’s tribute to its home, Cork, returns to shine a light on the wonderful city once again. In previous years Me Daza has focused on the food culture and landscape as well as the extraordinary artists the city has produced in recent times. In addition to these themes this year its most famous landmarks will also form the inspiration for the works included. Cork city centre is watched over by two golden beacons, on the north side it’s renowned Goldie Fish sits atop St Anne’s Shandon and on the south side the Goldie Angel is poised to blow her trumpet from her perch on the dramatic neo-gothic St Finbarr’s Cathedral. Some artists taking part have created work that references these unique symbols of Cork.
Go and indulge in your love for Cork this Feel Good Friday, or any day this Summer, and you might even be tempted to kit your office out with some Cork themed art!
