Cork Chamber Board Nominees, 2026
 
 

There are 10 nominees running for election to the Cork Chamber Board, with 5 seats available. The candidate profiles are available to view below. The designated primary representative for each Cork Chamber member organisation is entitled to vote on its behalf and has received direct communications outlining the voting process.

 

Voting is open from 1pm Tuesday 5th May to 1pm on Monday 18th May 2026. The outcome of the election will be announced at the AGM, on Monday 25th May at 18.00, at the Metropole Hotel, Cork.

Blackpool Village Public Consultation
 
 

Cork City Council, in partnership with John McLaughlin Architects together with the Blackpool Village Team, is developing an ambitious concept design for the Blackpool Village Core Area. This project aims to benefit residents, cultural institutions, businesses, visitors, and the wider community.

 

A public consultation event will be held on Saturday, 9th May in Blackpool Community Centre, 90 Great William O’Brien Street, from 11:30am to 2:30pm.


 
 
 
Luas Cork Preferred Route
Open for feedback until Friday, 12th June
 
 

The Preferred Route for Luas Cork has been published, with a public consultation on the revised route from Mahon to Ballincollig now open for feedback from the public until Friday, 12th June. There will also be a series of open days where members of the public can view drawings and the project team will be available to answer questions:

  • 6th May, 12pm - 8pm: Kingsley Hotel, Victoria Cross
  • 7th May, 12pm - 8pm: Páirc Uí Chaoimh
  • 12th May, 12pm - 8pm: The Carraig Centre, Ballincollig
