Cork Chamber’s 2015 Dublin Dinner will take place at 7.00pm on Tuesday 10th November in the Doubletree Hilton Hotel, Dublin with special guest speaker An Taoiseach Enda Kenny T.D. This event continues to promote the business and political connections between Cork and Dublin and facilitates business relations between the two regions. In addition at the event, Cork Chamber will honour Mr Hugh Mackeown, Musgrave Group with the Outstanding Achievement in Business Award.
Cork Chamber will once again partner with EY for this prestigious annual event. RTE One’s ‘At Your Service – To The Rescue’ team with expert hoteliers Francis and John Brennan are back this Christmas to help the renowned Cork charity ‘Penny Dinners’. The charity has been operating out of a small bungalow on Little Hanover Street in Cork, which has become dilapidated and run down. The ‘At Your Service’ team are planning to strip out the whole building, replace the roof and update the kitchen and dining room. During this refurbishment the charity will move to temporary premises nearby so as to keep producing this vital service. We are asking for help from local restaurants and cafes to help keep Penny Dinners in operation and to help supply hot food whilst the refurbishment is going on. The charity will be out of its usual premises for 22 days from the 6th of November. We are looking for local restaurants to help and provide us with one dinner for one day to feed 150 people. The EU-XCEL European Virtual Accelerator empowers young tech entrepreneurs to become ‘incubator ready’ with real products of promise through its bespoke start-up scrum and mentored virtual accelerator initiative.
