EENergy grant applications closing soon!
Applications close 15th May
 

The Enterprise Europe Network at Cork Chamber are calling for applicants for their new EENergy grant initiative. EENergy is an EU-funded project that provides 900 x €10,000 as a grant across Europe to SMEs that want to implement measures to reduce their energy consumption and therefore their carbon footprint. With a total budget of €9 million, EENergy actively supports against the backdrop of the effects of climate change, the energy crisis and the EU Green Deal.

TRACES: Introducing Multi-Factor Authentication
 

The Department of Agriculture has been advised that Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be introduced for all TRACES users from 11 June 2024. The Department's Brexit Division will send details of training, scheduled to take place next month, to cover setting up MFA. In the meantime, DG SANTÉ has developed guidance material on registering for MFA, including a tutorial document and video demonstration which are publicly available. The Department’s TRACES Unit can be contacted for any queries on Multi-Factor Authentication or the general use of TRACES at traces@agriculture.gov.ie

Open Streets for Cork
 

Exciting News! A series of "Open Streets" events are coming to Cork city this summer, the first of which will take place on Sunday 19th May to coincide with Bike Week. 

 

We are encouraging people to walk, cycle or take public transport into town on Sunday, May 19 to enjoy a colourful and lively programme of dance, music and street performances on Cornmarket Street, North Main Street and St. Patrick’s Street.  These streets will be closed to private cars between 1pm and 5pm to facilitate the events, creating a safe and people-friendly atmosphere.  All city car parks will remain open during this period and parking and access for blue badge holders will be facilitated as normal.

National Report on Succession Intentions in Family Business
 

The National Centre for Family Business launched a new report, "To Join or Not to Join: Understanding the Succession Intentions of Next-generation Family Business Members." The report is the result of an all- Ireland collaborative research project spearheaded by DCU and in collaboration with UCC, UL and Ulster University.
