UCC Relevance to You Series
UCC are pleased to be launching a new series of insightful, intellectually stimulating and thought provoking short talks delivered by academics on research areas that impact on society and daily life.
Each event will be chaired by Dr Jean van Sinderen-Law, Associate Vice President and will consist of four or five diverse topics, delivered in an informative and stimulating way by UCC academics and will conclude with an opportunity for participants to comment, provide input and to exchange ideas. Some of the topics include:
Brexit- Cork’s friend or foe?; Where will the next generation of antibiotics come from; How does our society respond to children in conflict with the law; and Can Hip Hop offer solutions to current global political crises through its bottom-up vision of globalisation?
Open to the public, the events will take place at the UCC Centre for Executive Education, Lapps Quay, Cork from 17.30 to 19.15pm on the following dates:
