Circular Economy Bill 2021

The Circular Economy Bill 2021 will deliberated on in the Dáil to provide a national policy framework for Ireland’s transition to a circular economy. The Bill will outline the Government’s Circular Economy Strategy, the EPA’s Circular Economy Programme and establish a Circular Economy Fund and more.

The circular economy presents huge employment and innovation opportunities that will be essential in the post-Covid-19 recovery. Specifically for businesses, the circular economy provides the chance to reduce costs, improve raw material supply chains and increase opportunities to diversify into new business models and markets, thus attracting new customers. It also allows for a resilient economy; with greater reuse, a circular economy does not need the same volume of inputs, and this reduces the impact of supply shocks.

However, given that millions of euros are available for tendered work every year, this is a channel for potential business that is just simply too good to miss out on, now, more than ever.
