Join us for the first webinar of the Greening Our City 2022 series to gain insight from the North Karelia Project, international developments, principles & perspectives on chronic disease & health promotion in Finland. The actions in North Karelia include reducing smoking, increased activity, more social connection and more fruits and vegetables including learning how to cook new recipes.
We will be joined by Professor Pekka Puska, Former Director General of the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare. Recently he served as a Member of the Parliament of Finland, including the Health and Social Affairs Committee and of the Education Committee.
Professor Puska's work covers a broad range of health and welfare issues from disease prevention, nutrition, lifestyles and environment, infectious disease control and national vaccination programmes to health and social services, health and welfare monitoring and statistics.
