Incentives available for Irish companies to travel to Yecla Furniture Fair (Spain), 21st-23rd September
The Yecla Furniture Fair takes place in Spain from September 2st-23rd. During this fair, the Regional Development Agency of Murcia is organising an inward trade mission and B2B meetings. During this time, foreign companies will have the opportunity to meet the main furniture manufacturers in the Murcia region, both at the trade fair and during dedicated site visits. The Regional Development Agency of Murcia is currently targeting importers, distributors, commercial agents, store chains, and professionals involved in the contract channel (i.e. architects, designers and purchasing managers) to participate in this mission and for selected companies, their accommodation, transfers, lunch and visits to manufacturing sites will be paid for. Furniture manufacturing is one of the core business activities in the Murcia region, with almost 500 companies there manufacturing furniture and upholstery. Food Matters Live, Exploring the relationship between Food, Health and Nutrition, London, 17th-19th November
The Enterprise Europe Network at Cork Chamber is calling for expressions of interest from companies that would like to join a delegation to ‘Food Matters Live’ which will take place from Tuesday 17th - Thursday 19th November 2015 at the ExCeL in London.
Food Matters Live is the UK's first cross-sector event bringing together professionals from across the food and drink industry, nutrition and health to address one of the most important challenges of our time: the relationship between food, health, nutrition and their connections with the environment, population health and wellbeing.
Food Matters Live will allow attendees access to:
- Over 400 leading organisations forming a carefully curated exhibition
- Over 450 speakers participating in the conference and seminar programme
- Over 100 free to attend conference and seminar sessions
- Special events include a free matchmaking meeting organised by Enterprise Europe, a Meet the Buyer event, an Open Innovation Pitching Event and the Free From Eating Out Awards

FREE Energy Skills Training for Construction Workers
The QualiBuild programme is funded by the European Commission “Build Up Skills Initiative” and was established in November 2013 as part of wider efforts to create employment in the sector and to assist Ireland in achieving the EU 2020 energy efficiency target. QualiBuild is also working with Governmental Departments and relevant agencies on its proposal to make it a requirement for all Irish building construction workers to undergo training and up-skilling at a National Level. It is being managed and coordinated by Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT), with partners Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), Blanchardstown Institute of Technology (ITB), the Irish Green Building Council (IGBC) and The Construction Industry Federation (CIF).
Qualibuild is running a ‘Foundation Energy Skills Training (FES)’ for 200 building construction workers, with a number of free places available. The Cork training will be hosted by CIT, starting in September.

- Water Powered Technologies are an innovative water-powered pumping and rainwater harvesting for the agricultural, commercial and water treatment sectors.
