RTÉ's The Business Get Together

RTÉ's The Business Get Together in association with Vodafone

RTÉ Radio 1's The Business is staging a networking event in Cork on Wednesday, October 17th. The event is being staged in association with the programme's sponsor Vodafone. The show's presenter, George Lee will be speaking at the event, as will Sean O'Sullivan, founder of Avego Ltd; M.D. SOSventures International and well known investor on RTÉ's Dragons' Den. Mr. O'Sullivan will be providing tips for businesses on how to maximise their potential. The event will also include business speed dating, to give everyone in the room a chance to make new  connections and grow business.

George Lee said : "It's really important for the team and myself to hear how local businesses are getting on and to learn about the issues they face on a daily basis. Since I’ve started presenting The Business, I've been inspired and impressed by the attitude of business people all over the country and their ability to keep going in these tough times. These are the people that will get our economy moving again. We’re also hoping to meet lots of businesses that we can profile on the programme in the future.”

It's the latest in a series of networking event that The Business has hosted in an effort to connect companies small and large around the country. The previous events were very successful. They sparked off many new connections and business deals. Also a number of the companies that George and the programme team networked with, featured on the programme subsequently.

The event will be taking place in the Clarion Hotel in Cork City between 6.15 and 9.30pm. Spaces are limited so it's important to register in advance. To register, visit The Business homepage on the RTÉ web-site http://www.rte.ie/radio1/thebusiness/ and press click to register to proceed.

Admission is free, drinks and snacks will be provided on the night.
