Global Goals Business Conversations
The ‘Global Goals Business Conversations’ is an engagement partnership with the Irish business community to explore how the private sector can contribute to Ireland achieving the Sustainable Development Goals targets, and what supports and policies businesses require from government to help them do this.
This consultation is part of an Irish Aid funded UN Sustainable Development Goals engagement project with communities, private sector and policy-makers being delivered by Concern Worldwide.
The objective of these ‘Chatham House Rules’ round table conversations is to work with business representatives to build a picture of the current level of engagement with the SDGs and current actions towards sustainability within companies, to explore the key barriers to achieving their sustainability plans and how these can be overcome, particularly in terms of policy change and government supports, and to discuss how we can evolve the SDGs from values to operational targets.
