Cork Chamber calls on Cork City & County Council to demonstrate fairness to businesses in Budget 2014 As part of the Chamber's lobbying campaign in the lead up to City and County Council 2014 Budgets, we are meeting with senior management calling on both councils to demonstrate fairness towards Cork's business community by reducing rates, or at a minimum imposing no increases to commercial rates in 2014. In addition, we are communicating with all Councillors, local TD's, Cork Ministers and Minister Hogan on this important policy issue on behalf of our members. This has also been complemented by an extensive media and social media campaign.

Cork Regional Chambers has also called on Cork County Council to commit to a period of adjustment of 10 years for Town Council areas which will be integrated into the Council to allow businesses the time to adapt to the costs resulting from increased rates.
