Dear chamber member,
Cork’s international engagement, led through our Connecting Cork initiative, has been a cornerstone of Cork Chamber’s work for many years. Through sustained participation in global trade missions and strategic partnerships, we have built a strong reputation for Cork, for our Chamber, and most importantly, for the innovative and ambitious business community we represent.
Our recent engagements across the United States form part of a much wider programme of international activity that spans key global markets, including Europe, the UK and Asia. These missions are not standalone visits, they are part of a long-term, consistent effort to position Cork as a globally competitive location for investment, talent and business growth, while also supporting our members in expanding their international reach.
We work closely with our national agencies, Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland and Tourism Ireland as well as Ireland’s diplomatic network and many of our member organisations with established international footprints. Together, this “Team Ireland” approach ensures that Cork’s value proposition is clearly communicated and strongly represented on the global stage.
Across San Francisco, Chicago, Greenwich, New York and Washington DC, the 2026 mission demonstrated the breadth and depth of Cork’s international relationships, from innovation and technology to tourism, financial services and policy leadership. Each engagement reinforces Cork Chamber’s role as a trusted partner on behalf of our members, ensuring that Cork continues to be recognised globally as a dynamic, connected and forward-looking place to do business.
We remain committed to building on the strong foundations established over many years, deepening relationships, creating opportunities for our members, and ensuring Cork continues to thrive as an internationally recognised hub for business.
We also extend our sincere thanks to our Connecting Cork sponsors for their continued support of our international relations programme and for championing Cork as a destination for business.
Warm regards,

Conor Healy
