COVID-19 will not keep us standing still… The GT5K 2020 is here and this year it’s virtual!

Running across the whole island of Ireland on the 14/15/16 August, we'd like to encourage everyone to take part - corporate teams, family teams, sports club teams or the individual runner.

All you need to do is register to compete, run your best 5K over the weekend, register your time by midnight on the 16 August and watch the leaderboard.

In a year where all charities are struggling we are delighted that the run will support both the Alzheimer’s society of Ireland and the development of young athletes with Athletics Ireland’s junior high performance programme.

There are some exciting and attractively priced promotional opportunities now available at a number of upcoming, well-known Chamber events.

With phase 4 of reopening society and business has been delayed, this is a reminder to us all about the important role we play in containing the spread of Covid-19. Cork Chamber is delighted to announce that entries for this year’s virtual Cork Digital Marketing Awards (CDMAs) are now open. With 12 different categories, Cork businesses have ample opportunity to showcase their digital innovations and achievements over the past 12 months while demonstrating the impact of marketing through digital channels on business survival and growth. The theme for this year’s CDMAs is Digital Titans. These Awards will recognise the persistent and innovative hard work that has been demonstrated in the last year.

Remote working became part of everyday life in the last few months, the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation have opened a consulation to hear views to help shape remote working guidelines.
