UCC selected by United Nations Environment Programme to lead consortium
UCC has been selected by the United Nations Environment Programme to lead a consortium to address global water issues and environmental sustainability. The University will act as the lead in coordinating the efforts of Irish universities to assist the United Nations Environment Programme's Global Environment Monitoring System for Water (GEMS/Water) www.unep.org/gemswater. It is also hoped to involve some Irish companies with relevant expertise in the work of the new UCC GEMS/Water Capacity Development Centre.

Hi Magazine 2014 Women In Business Awards
Huge congratulations to all our Chamber Member winners of the Disaronno sponsored Hi Magazine 2014 Women in Business Awards, which took place at Silver Springs Hotel on Saturday 5th July. The inaugural awards honoured Munster-based businesswomen and celebrated all that is progressive for women in business in the region. Linda Kiely, Co-founder and Director of Cork-headquartered business process outsourcing company Voxpro, was named as the Cork Business Woman of the Year 2014.
