A new, innovative cookbook aimed at patients experiencing cancer-related weight loss has been developed by the Nutritional Science Department in University College Cork and CIT in collaboration with Breakthrough Cancer Research.

If you have ever watched someone you love suffer from cancer, you know that one of the side effects of chemotherapy is weight loss. This Good Nutrition for Cancer Recovery Cook book was created by dieticians and includes information, advice and a bank of nutritious, anti-cancer recipes to combat weight loss. The cookery demonstration will therefore feature some of the highly nutritious recipes to combat weight loss which are featured in the cookbook.

The cookery demos will be given by Culinary lectures Ann O’Connor and Jane Healy of CIT.  All proceeds from the cookery demonstration will go to Breakthrough Cancer Research.
