What are the main changes that SEPA brings?
When fully implemented, SEPA will allow individual consumers and businesses in Ireland to make an electronic payment to someone in Munich in exactly the same way as they would make a payment to someone in Mullingar. All payment services users in the affected countries will be able to use a single account to make and receive payments in euro, both within their own country and to and from anywhere else within SEPA. There will be guaranteed next day value for payments across SEPA with more detailed payment information also available.
