Dear Chamber Member,

I hope you, your families, friends and colleagues are all well.

Further change this week on many fronts. More businesses reopened their doors and are adapting to new ways of operating. Individually we are adapting too, to moving around more, and we encourage everyone to take responsibility for their role in continuing to contain the virus. We must not become complacent and allow the virus to cause greater harm in our communities. Please continue to observe social distancing along with other health advice from Governement and the HSE.

The Economic Stimulus package is likely to be announced by Government next week. We have continued to call for clarity on business supports, rates waiver and the unemployment benefits - along with a more sectoral approach to the supports and structures being delivered.

Businesses were immensely challenged through Quarter 2 of this year. Decisive, clear action is required now to allow all business to better plan for their future, and to minimise further damage to our wider economy.

I welcome your thoughts on what challenges are facing your business in reopening so that, together, we can build economic resilience for Cork, email me <HERE> or 087 9471858 or make contact with any of the team at Cork Chamber.

Take Care,

Conor
