‘Women’s Little Christmas’ Afternoon Tea event in aid of Breakthrough Cancer Research, takes place at The River Lee Hotel on the Western Road Cork on January 6^th from  2-6pm. Tickets to the fabulous event, which is now in its second year, cost only €30 and will include a drinks reception on arrival, sumptuous Afternoon Tea (of finger sandwiches, fruit scones with jam, clotted cream and butter, and a variety of cakes and patisseries), makeovers and style advice, pampering, boutique market stalls, a fashion showcase of some of Munster’s top boutiques, goody bags for all, a Best Dressed competition for the ladies and much more!

The next event in the CIPD Southern Region calendar is a breakfast meeting at The Clarion Hotel at 7.30am on Wednesday January 16th, 2013. The guest speaker will be Gerry Walsh and a full Irish breakfast will be served. The topic of Gerry’s presentation will be: performance managment for strategic advantage.   

Business Network International’s (BNI) Cork City Chapter will hold a mentoring and networking evening at Nemo Rangers GAA Club, off South Douglas Road, Douglas at 6.15pm to 9pm on Tuesday 15^th January 2013. The entrance fee is €15 with all proceeds going to Cork Rebel Wheelers. Attendees will have access to expert advice and tips and have a chance to connect with other professionals through a fun speed network half hour. There will also be an extensive choice of mentoring sessions available on the evening.
