Promoting the strengths of Cork
Cork Chamber travels to San Fran

This week, representatives from Cork Chamber, City Council, Port of Cork and the English Market, amongst others, have an exciting schedule ahead promoting the strengths of Cork, with meetings engaging key business leaders and organisations in San Francisco and Silicon Valley.  This visit organised jointly by Cork City Council and Cork Chamber and which is led by The Lord Mayor, Cllr Tony Fitzgerald includes a packed itinerary with key business heads in the US.

The visit is part of the sister-city relationship with San Francisco established over 30 years ago, and which has led to strong and growing social and economic ties between our two cities.

Rapid Transport Corridor Essential for City Growth

We are hopeful that a pause in public transport prioritisation on Patrick’s Street will provide the necessary space for sensible discussion to take place ahead of an agreed recommencement.

It is certain, as we grow significantly in population and job numbers over the next 20 years we need to substantially improve our public transport offering.
