Green Enterprise Call 2016

The Green Enterprise Call 2016 is now open.


The theme of this phase of the programme is to link the terms of reference of the project to sustainable consumption and production, in line with the Europe 2020 Strategy, and its associated policy documents.These seek to address the negative environmental aspects of production and to empower consumers to move towards resource efficient consumption.


Green Enterprise provides grant aid to demonstration type projects across all sectors of economic activity in Ireland and is open to proposals from companies, institutions and public bodies. For 2016, the maximum amount of funding available is €60,000 per company/organisation.


Grant aid is provided up to a maximum limit of 75% of the total eligible project costs incurred. More information on this available here.

The Mardyke Entertainment Complex is a historic 30,000 square foot building located in Cork City Centre on Sheares Street.  It is the home to five exciting entertainment brands all under one roof.  This one stop destination is an ideal location for corporate days & nights out, team building events, restaurant dining, sporting events, craft beers and cocktail experiences, beer garden BBq’s, celebrations parties and nights out. 


We promise plenty of opportunities to mingle and network in “The Backyard” of the Mardyke Entertainment Complex.  With delicious food and drinks, there will also be plenty of entertainment on the night, with bowling competitions and even some “Killer Pool” for those brave souls who like to show off their skills!

Cork’s 96FM Giving for Living Radiothon gets underway
 
The annual Cork’s 96FM’s Giving for Living Radiothon is getting underway tomorrow (Thursday 26th May 2016) at 6am. This is the 9th Annual Event and the cumulative total raised so far is in excess of €3.5 million.

Money raised is to support Cancer Services in Cork provided through the Radiothon’s charity partners: Mercy Hospital Foundation; CUH Charity; Marymount Hospice; ARC House and Breakthrough Cancer.

All 96FM programming between 6am and 7pm on Thursday and Friday and between 10am and 6pm on Saturday will be broadcast from a special studio at the Mercy Hospital.  There will be regular links from the Cork’s 96FM Streetfleet based at the other charity locations.


Listeners are being asked to hold “Coffee Breaks” to raise money.    Again this year, Bus Eireann drivers will man the city’s “biggest change collector box” at Cork’s Bus Station on Parnell Place.     Schools have also been asked to sign up for a “No Uniform Day”.

As part of the International Festival Business 2015, the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is organising a B2B matchmaking event which will focus on ‘Financing collaborative R&D in the creative sector’. This Event is organised by Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) North West UK – an organisation that helps small and medium-sized enterprises make the most of business opportunities in the EU and beyond.

EEN brings together business support organisations from more than 60 countries, including chambers of commerce and industry, technology centres, universities and development agencies. The Network includes over 600 members that are connected through powerful databases and know Europe inside out.

This event will aim at fostering collaboration and securing financing to develop creative and digital projects in a variety of industries.

This event will target:
• Private investors such Business angels, crowd funding platforms, banks...
• Public financing organisations
• Creative and digital companies of all sizes
• SMEs and larger organisations from different sectors
• Research organisations

This unique event at IFB2016 will appeal to ambitious, innovative organisations from Europe and beyond that want to become more competitive and front-runners in their industries by using digital and creative technologies.
