A celebration of all that is local and homegrown fashion, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Cork has, over the past 6 years, become the hottest ticket in the annual fashion calendar. This year's stylish events kick off on Friday, October 3rd at the Imperial Hotel with the Boutique Show, launching new Autumn/Winter collections from an array of city and county boutiques.
The show will be hosted by TV Fashion Presenter and Lennon Courtney designer Brendan Courtney and guests will be able to browse a Fashion Hall on arrival as well as enjoying a Fashion Week after party with food and festivities in Souths Bar afterwards. Proceeds from this event go to the Fashion Week chosen charity, which this year is Breakthrough Cancer Research.

Skibbereen Charity Adventure Race

To book: here IRELAND’S only adventure race which gives 100pc of the proceeds to charity, will take place along part of the spectacular West Cork leg of the Wild Atlantic Way, this October. The race will be organised and run by a 100pc volunteer committee, from the Skibbereen & District Lions Club.
Irish adventure racing has seen a huge rise in popularity in recent years, but what makes Skibbereen’s three-course offering unique is the volunteer organisation behind it. This will allow the total funds raised to be donated to charity – 50pc to Cork Association for Autism, and the remainder to nominated local organisations, through Skibbereen Lions Club.

The Cork Junior Chamber (JCI) hosts the National Convention this year. Up to 130 young business leaders and entrepreneurs are expected to arrive to Cork City from all over Europe to discuss Irish business issues. JCI would like to extend an invite to Cork Chamber to support this event.
