Lá na Gaeilge
Friday 14th March

Lá na Gaeilge, or Irish Language Day, takes place this Friday, March 14th. It serves as a special occasion to celebrate and incorporate the Irish language, encouraging people to use their Cúpla Focal (few words) in everyday conversations. This event is supported by Cork City Council and the Cork Business Community, highlighting the importance of the language to our culture. It’s a fantastic opportunity to bring a little Gaeilge into your workplace this Friday. Why not challenge yourself and your colleagues to use a few Irish phrases throughout the day. Bain triail as! – Give it a try! Whether you're greeting a colleague with “Dia duit” (Hello) or saying  Go raibh maith agat (Thank you), every little bit counts. To help you get started, check out this LINK for some well-used Irish phrases that you can easily use in the office. Let’s make this Friday a fun and engaging celebration of the Irish language! Go neirí libh!
