UK Announce Extension on New Boarder Controls for EU Goods
 

New boarder controls that were meant to come into effect starting on Oct 1, 2021 has been revised to Jan1, 2022. The UK made the announcement yesterday and released an revised timetable that include but not limited to:

  • The new requirements for Export Health Certificates, which were due to be introduced on 1 October 2021, will now be introduced on 1 July 2022.
  • Phytosanitary Certificates and physical checks on SPS goods at Border Control Posts, due to be introduced on 1 January 2022, will now be introduced on 1 July 2022.

Businesses are encouraged to use this additional time wisely to prepare for the forthcoming changes.
